Check the April 2004 issue of Acoustic Guitar for slack key guitar workshop happenings...
In the Summer Study 2004 section on p. 63, there is mention and photo of the Aloha Hawaiian Music and Dance Camp
On pp. 68-71, Brian Kluepfel's article titled, Hawaiian Holiday chronicles his experience at last year's Kahumoku Maui Slack Key Camp. Couple of photos of some taropatchers too including yours truly. Me with guitar in hand? Nah, always with the food!

AND!! several photos included taken by Mrs. Admin. Way to go, Lynette! Wish I were there this very moment. Cold and blustery here in sunny California, 4 inches of rain today and 60 mph. winds. Brrrr. Trees down, mudslides, etc. The Aloha Music Camp photo was of Michelle Kiba, my kumu ukulele here in Santa Cruz. Was she having fun or what?

That was a great article! I didn't realize you all were in the pictures, and took the pictures. How many taropatchers went to last years camp? |

Well I can only speak for the camp I attended last year. Check this post:
Some post trip reflections
Photos and lots of names. Funny thing was that there were people I met and didn't realized were registered taropatch.net members until I got home. Lots of people lurk but don't post. Plus, I can no longer keep track of 500+ members. |
