I just learned of another event on the Island of Moloka`i in June.
Here's a blurb from the Moloka`i Visitors website:
June 25-26
2nd Annual Hawaiian Performing Arts Competition
At the Maunaloa Outdoor Amphitheater on Molokai's west end. Performers from across the State will engage in six (6) individual competitions, including Auana (Modern Hula), Kahiko (Ancient Hula), Falsetto, Kihoalu (Slack Key), Ukulele, and Oli (Hawaiian Chanting). The team's final performance, the "Hui Paina" will be done by the entire team and it will encompass all the Performing Arts into one number. The competition begins Saturday at 9:00 a.m in Maunaloa.
