John,

I looked at a bit of it, dial-up connection, and it's a beautiful site. That's a show I'd like to see.

Thanks for the link.

Aloha jwn, glad you mentioned this.

Cirque du Soleil meets Lion King meets Broadway but in Maui. A unique contemporary performance interpreting Hawaiian myth and history. Few would expect such a talented cast of actors and musicians in a state-of-the-art theater right on Front Street. If you look at the credits, it is quickly evident how much thought and work has gone in to the production. It's helpful to read through the website before you go otherwise some of the storylines may go over your head. Don't forget to watch the musicians... some haunting nose flute playing.

Lynette and I really enjoyed the show last April. If you're in Maui, we highly recommend it. You can also check it out at http://www.mauitheatre.com/.

Here are some of the credits. Reads like a Who's Who of Hawaiian culture. And, it is a joy to have met or seen some of these folks, too. And I hope to meet more of them, someday. BTW, Kaliko Trapp is our very own Kaliko Simon Beamer-Trapp, gracious target of lots of Keola's teasing, and one of the very best teachers I have ever encountered in all my years of hiding in academic institutions.

Aloha,

Reid
