Hi, sorry if I posted this in the wrong section.

This is my dad's favorite piece, and I wanted to surprise him. He doesn't even know I've been picking slack key up.

Does anyone have a version they'd be willing to share with me? I've tried searching on the internet, but I've been unable to find anything...

Thanks for all your help. And again, I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong area!

It's in Leonard Kwan's book. See the post:

Nick,
You might also keep watch on Ebay, seaching by using the key words "slack key". Leonard's book does appear with some frequency. It's a must have in your book collection as well as the Cord International cd, "The Legendary Leonard Kwan". This is an extemely important collection.

Thanks David. I'll make sure to check for the book, and try to get that cd.

My dad has a couple of his records, they might be the ones that were listed on this site...

It wasn't that long ago that many of us collected Leonard's records. Thankfully, Cord International digitized and made available 28 important tracks on cd.

Sounds like a wonderful gift for your Dad! It is a remarkable song.

Nick,
I'm working on this one right now, very challenging. I picked up a copy of leonard's book on e-bay.
I received a news letter from Dancing Cat records the other day and they listed a contact address for the book so maybe its back in print. I'll see if I can find the news letter. If I do I'll post the address

If you can get away to the SF Bay Area for a couple of days I can show you "Opihi Moemoe."

Thank you so much for all your help! I was able to get a copy of the tab, and I'm going to try to work on this, and see how long it takes me to learn it!

All of the information was excellent, and I've received several messages from users on this board. You are some of the greatest people on the internet. Thanks for making me feel like Ohana!
