Cyril and Patrick played their first time at the Music Series of the Noe Valley Ministry, held in a wonderful victorian style church in San Francisco's Noe valley.
This upstairs, intimate venue has great acoustics, and padded folding chairs.
I really enjoyed hearing Patrick let-out all the stops jamming with Cyril. Often, I think Pat's a bit restrained/deferential when playing with his mentors, not allowing himself to fully shine.
All I want to say is; Patrick, bring on more of those sweet little jams you and uncle did last night! whee-ha!
Since it was the first Slack Key show here, and with short notice, there were some empty seats. Those seats gonna be filled next time for sure, and I think there'll be lots more Hawai`ian shows here to come. Parking, well....it is San Francisco.

I would like to second Ross's review of Patrick and Cyril's performance last Sat.I have been to lots of slack key concerts over the years; I've seen some of the best and some of the so-so'est. This one was special. All of the elements that make up the difference between Slack Key and Not slack key were there: the heart, the soul, the pride, and the generosity; these plus all the other stuffs that there really aren't words for made,for me, an uforgettable evening.
So thanks guys!
