At a recent George Kahumoku, Jr. workshop, his handout had the cords and words for Pua Sadinia. Does anyone know of a vocal recording of the song with the words? I have never heard one and would like to know how the words sound with the music. Mahalo, Diana

Diana,
IIRC, one of Peter Moon's albums has a vocal version of this.

edit: Found it at mele.com. "Tropical Storm" (http://www.mele.com/v3/info/186.htm). |

Aloha Diana, we sure missed you after you left Maui early, let's not do that again next year! As for Pua Sadinia, this is what I found in the Island Music Source Book: (artist on title of CD)
1. Ray Kane: on Punahele, on Master of the Slack Key Guitar, and on Nanakuli's Raymond Kane 2. Hal Kinnaman on Revere 3. Doug and Sandy McMaster on Hanalei Sunset 4. Peter Moon Band on Tropical Storm 5. Ohana 'O Kauai on Slack Key Instrumentals
Whether any of these have vocals besides the Peter Moon version, I don't know. You can always email Auntie Maria at mele.com, she knows everything! Good luck! Hugs, Julie |
