Recent Press release from Jake Shimabukuro:

Jake Shimabukuro
Ukulele Virtuoso / Rock Star

Released August 24, in less than one month "Walking Down Rainhill" has soared to #14 on the BILLBOARD WORLD MUSIC CHART. Look for Jake in the Septermber 18 issue of Billboard Magazine.

Fueled by his aggressive 2004 U.S. and Japan Tour, Jake’s exposure is spreading across the mainland like wildfire.

"Walking Down Rainhill" features ten original songs and two covers including a great rendition of George Harrison’s While My Guitar Gently Weeps. The first track, entitled Heartbeat, exhibits Jake’s skill, from precision plucking to the overall concept of the song’s innovative origin. Selected as the Honolulu Marathon theme song and also as Hawaii Tourism Japan’s feature commercial song, Rainbow has earned Jake much acclaim.

His talent is undeniable. It only takes one song to become a believer. Time and time again, Jake turns skeptics into supporters. Though many have a hard time believing the music they hear is from a tiny ukulele, they are enraptured by its natural acoustic sound and Jake’s innovative, high-energy playing styles. It is amazing how Jake can produce such a huge range of sound from an instrument once thought to have limited capabilities.

Though excited about this recent success, Jake remains humble as ever. Appreciative and thankful for all the support from family, friends, and fans Jake just wishes to continue making music everyone can enjoy.
