Aloha All,
It's good to finally be on Taropatch instead of just reading it!!. Anyways, those of who know me through Slack Key know I'm not the brightest bulb on the string when it comes to computer stuff. So I'll be brief.
I've been involved in Slack Key a little more than 3yrs. Many of you are familiar with some of the members of our Slack Key group: San Diego Slack Key Society such as; Keith, CPatch-Craig, Dusty, Terry, Don, Ken, etc... all great players, and good people.
I would rate myself as an advanced beginer. If anyone of you have met me you know I'm crazy for Slack Key, one look at my guitar and you'd know why. I enjoy all things Slack Key but naturally I have my favorites; Cyril, Led, Ray, Gabby, Sonny. Lately I've been listening to a lot of John Keawe, Ray Kane, and Dennis Paavo...some real good music there.
Hope to be talking with old, and new friends in the future.
Aloha & Mahalo,

-Slkho

hey, is this the mysterious rick?? e komo mai!

assuming that this is rick, let me continue the introduction! rick is the person who pulled me into the san diego hawaiian music scene. i met rick at a led and cyril concert at the belly up. i had sat next to someone who played the uke (uncle clinton). when i said that i wanted to play with people, clinton pointed me in rick's direction. two weeks later, rick and his ipo donna had a kanikapila, and i was no longer a lonley uku picker.

rick does indeed play some nice slack key and has unbounded interest and enthusiam. periodically he disappears into making a load of ipu (they're beautiful) and i don't see him for quite some time. then, there he is with a replenished stock of ipu to die for and some great new music.

rick is also a mountain climber and outdoorsman at large, a collector of autographs of hawaiian musicans, the proud owner of "zoom", and along with donna one of the most ho`okipa people around.
