Save this date! January 29, 2005.
This may be a little premature as I've not yet signed a contract, but Keola, Moana, John, Chris and Donley are planning to perform at Roaring Camp's Bret Harte Hall. This will be a new venue, and we have great hopes of it becoming a regular. Roaring Camp Railroads in Felton has narrow-gauge tracks and several vintage locomotives, among them the Kahuku, which was used on Oahu. It is next door to Henry Cowell Park.
The Hall is located in a meadow surrounded by towering redwoods. It is a fairly new building with beautiful redwood ceilings and walls. Scotts Valley and Santa Cruz are within a short drive, and there are plenty of hotels, motels and restaurants near by. I hope you'll join me on this wonderful evening. More details later. Julie

Woo Hoo! Julie, I'll be there, for sure, can we sit in the front row and giggle like we did in Sebastapol? Oh yeah. |

Wu-huuuuuuuu! Please get details to me as they are firmed up -- I've added the event to my calendar, with "TBA" in some fields.
Had a momentary thought to put your home phone in the contact field, but... |

Well, we are still waiting for the contract to be finalized. There seems to be a slight delay in this most important detail.
And Cathe, if we end up giggling too much, we may be asked to leave! Ha! Sitting on pins and needles, hoping all works out well. Our friends have to fly from Minneapolis to San Jose or San Francisco on that morning, and there is some worry about weather related obstacles on our end. We do know that Mother Nature always gets the last laugh.
Auntie Maria, thanks for not putting my phone number there as yet. Probably Roaring Camp will get the honors, as they have the staff and means for credit card orders already in place. I do hope that all the puzzle pieces will fall into place and that Bret Harte Hall becomes one of the great music venues of this area.
Always the optimist, Julie |
