I'm a little behind on getting to new CD, so ....
Raiatea Helm's new CD, "Sweet & Lovely," is a complete chicken skin blow me away piece of work. What impresses me most is how much she's developed musically in the past year or so. (If folks remember last year I posted that her debut album was very good, but it was still an "early" album....) this one, to me, shows a performer really coming into artistic maturity. It is almost freightening to think where this lady could take the artform if she keeps at it the way she is now doing.
I've bought and given 4 copies as gifts, a very rare event, and will probably do so with some additional copies....
This one is a must have ,,, and a real treat for any lover of Hawaiian music.
