Yes Auntie, I stay goin'.
Maui in October, should be a fest, With Aunties and Uncles and all of da rest. Some I have met and some I have not There's far too many and more than I thought.
Some have had babies, so precious and few, And others apparently don't have a clue. Many have left and we offer our prayers, In hopes that they're climbing the Heavenly Stairs.
In good times and bad, we gather together. To hug and embrace in the tropical weather. Talk stories, share pictures of times that have past. To cherish each other, together at last.
We'll play in the sun, the tides and the moon, Grind lau-lau, Lomi-lomi, and poi without spoon. We'll put on our thongs, run back to the watah, Da slippah you buggahs! Get your mind out da guttah!
We love to play games and tease one anoddah, Its part of our culture, my Sistah, my Bruddah. Accept it, embrace it, you don't have to fear it, It's part of our culture, the Aloha Spirit.
After the sunset, we'll gather around, Kanikapila, nahe-nahe the sound. Bruddah Isreal's twinkles, in its glory unfolds, The canvas that captures the Hawaiian Souls.
Our reunion will end as we go on our way, To make stories, take pictures for the next gathering day. For life is too short and I'm sure that you know, Next question is, "Auntie, You goin stay go?"
