MARK YOUR CALENDAR -- NY UKE FEST
March 30, 2005 – NYUkeFest.com announced today that a 20,000 square foot theater facility was secured in the East Village district of Manhattan. Consisting of 4 state of the art theaters of varying sizes, plus a huge lobby for vendors and displays, this will be the home of the NY Uke Fest as it stages an extravagant celebration of ukulele music for 4 days and three nights on April 27, 28, 29, 30 in 2006.
Marquee performers are signing on as you read this. The multi-venue space will make this a ukulele event to remember. There will be something for every taste in ukulele music, all professionally presented in a technically appropriate setting.

aloha andy! it will be 3 full nights (thurs, fri, sat nights) and 3 full days (fri, sat, sun days).
should be great, especially if at least one of those nights/days one stage can be dedicated to traditional Hawaiian mele and hula. if anyone has any connections to Hawaiian bands on the east coast, with a strong uke presence, please put me in touch with them or put them in touch with me. tia. |

the venue is the 20,000 sq ft Theater for the New City www.theaterforthenewcity.net a long-time not-for-profit theater. |
