Friday, April 29,2005 at the Manoa Gardens.
4:30 pm - 10:00 something pm
The Department of Hawaiian and Indo-Pacific Languages and Literatures along with the University of Hawaii Activities Council presents the finest Hawaiian Music!

Lineup:
Weldon Kekauoha (Da Hawaiian Man)
Kana'e
Kaumakaiwa "Lopaka" Kanaka'ole (dis brada is good)
Keawe Lopes
Kainani Kahaunaele (I just love her)
Ka Papa Mele Haw 284

These events are the best kept secret in Hawaii. The crowds are usually small, your up close, the entertainers very informal and best of all it's freeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
My advice, If you can go, go, you won't regret it.
Have a wonderful day taropatchers!

Hi Ross,
The University of Hawaii student activities council sponsors different music venues every Friday at the Manoa gardens (Rock, Jazz, Blues, you name it). The Hawaiian culture program has reserved 2 of the Fridays every month to promote Hawaiian music. The series has been on going for several years while the students are in session. There are no events during holidays or student breaks. I've just been informed that several local groups will front the "Wailers" in a upcoming concert also on campus in the near future. No Bob Marley though...Alohas
