Aloha All, and Mahalo for those of you who managed to break away and jam with us last night - we missed Nick the Pilot.... maybe he thinks it's next week... But Bill and Vicki came with lots of food, and a nice variety of home brews; great to see Jeff again with his steel guitars and more kau kau; then Karl of the frozen north found his way through sincere LA Friday afternoon traffic. You're all gonna love him when you meet him - he's great!! And he came bearing - you guessed it - food! that would be smoked Alaskan salmon! Keith - it was wonderful to see you!! Your nahenahe music is some of my favorite! Rachel K brought her brother and Mom, and Doug had come, and proceeded to give her a great lesson. And then John and Susan Dietz joined us after their concert commitment - glad everyone can get to know each other. Karl is down in San Diego now, and will be back for the workshop tomorrow - Kani ka pila more from about 3:00 tomorrow (Sunday) until he has to leave to catch his plane back to the frozen north - I'm sure it's a warmer place there with him as part of their world. Looking for more music!! auntie n. |
