So, it's been kinda dead around here lately... You are invited to a day of Ki ho`alu in the rolling hills of Freestone, 5 miles West of Sebastopol. The grass is tall this year, it's beautiful, and it's time to pick and strum.
Short notice I know, but somethings gotta be done! 'Dis is one Low-key Sunday plan. Come around noon, or come earlier(10am) and enjoy a french toast brunch, just let me know you're coming for da toast. Sibyl has bowed-out for this one, fled town, so you're stuck with chefasaurus, the... Titanium Chef. Yes, bring your titanium stomach while TC serves up.....whatever he can find in the fridge. But seriously; I'll make a bunch of pasta and green salad. I'll have ice chests with.....ice. I fire-up the barbie if anyone wants to grill some kill(as in roadkill). If you plan to come, post here in this topic what you'll bring with you so others can plan accordingly. Please come even if you don't feel like making/buying anything to eat, it's OK, I'm sure there'll be plenny grinds. We're on, rain or shine, one person or twelve; we're on baby! Is it still a kanikapila if nobody shows up? Maybe it's a ona-kapila, solo-kapila?
Just noticed on the calendar that this day will be "fete des meres", so dig out your high school French dictionary and look that one up. We'll be having the "fete des guittares" and "fete des ukuleles".
Just call for directions.

Cathe, Unknown to you, I too took high school Francaise! That J'ais throws me though; that's the negative non? I'll look forward to you with your salad of fruits(a la Carmen Miranda) and the "la pain perdue"(the pain of perdition; is that from hearing me attempt falsetto?).
Commandante Pifflano, Have fun at the airshow brah.
Goodman San, See you there, um...here i mean.

Bon jour, monsieur Ross!
Actually, "pan perdue" is French for French toast!.. It means, literally "lost bread", isn't that cool? ou hui hou, avec plaisure. Tante. |

Ross,
Thanks for the kind invitation. We are having a three day family birthday party that weekend, but I just got permission to break away and join you. I'll be in Bodega, so maybe bring some fish for your grill.

Aloha Lawrence & Cynthia, We'll miss you up here. I know it's a long trip from South Bay. It looks like a fine, warm day indeed here, no wind, plenny sunshine! Been a little foggy AM & PM lately, so this is good. Sounds like we might have Gary Sugiyama from Santa Rosa coming by; Gary I only met once but he plays the steel a bit, so that's exciting!
See you next time, Ross |
