I stay Keaau for three years in the late 80's, but get fired from Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut, and now make wine in California. Lucky I get to visit once a year on business. I miss the Big Island terribly, and now that I am learning to fingerpick, it really helps to play slack-key.

Try drop by if you stay on the Central Coast and teach me a song. Maybe I pass the word and get you a gig at a winery doing a luau.

Dusty,

Timing is everything, in finger-picking and winemaking!

I'm working on putting together the 2003 Monster blend right now. As you know, we have a beautiful picnic grounds, ideal for sunsets, sipping wine and slack key. I'll order the tiki torches now.

Frosty has melted, my good man. We planted the corn yesterday, so we should be corny in about the beginning of August.
FYI, I love corny people. Good thing, otherwise the mirror would be even harder to look into in the morning.
BTW, check out Da Kine Gear :)
Say, what is a whinery, anyway? Sounds painful to me.

Aloha Steve,

I live just north in Salinas/Monterey. Perhaps, Kiwini, you and I will have to get together and play some slack since we're all pretty close. Kiwini have talked about it but we haven't come up with anything solid yet. I'll also have to check out the Norman Winery. I like wine and I like ki ho'alu (although I think I enjoy slack better)...what a great combo!
