Mental pictures from the original post title; 1. untamed guitar tuning machines running all around the place, wrapping guitar strings around everything and everybody, spilling beer, trampling thru the antepasta, barfing on nthe chinese rug 2. some really hot Portugese women, fondling my guitar's tuning pegs....who cares if they do a good job? 3. a beast, somewhat like a cross between a brindled gnu and a wart hog, rooting around in my living room, trying to find something out of tune, 4 Kiwini in a guitar shop? |

Eh, those aren't tuners-- they're "accupuncture for your head". It's what happens when you cross Chinese medicine, ki ho'alu and phrenology. |

Wow! this is truly amazing! I used to own an instrument like the one pictured a ong time ago and sold it to some Portuguese cultural group from Hilo. Since then My cousin, married to a man from the Azores brought me another "bandolin" like that w/o the tuners and I have been searching everywhere for a source. Is it possible to reach this guy where the Pic came from? Ambrose 831 624 8145 |

Wow. Those are gnarly. How does one actually use them? Looks like the Spanish Inquisition meets a Portugese guitar. :::tiptoeing back to her corner::: |

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition . . . . Least of all a Portuguese guitar. Where is Monty Python when we really need him, Sandy (firmly entrenched in the early 70s) |
