Originally started 20 years ago by members of the local Hawaiian community to celebrate May Day, the annual Central Park Picnic brings over 300 people from the Hawaiian community together each year on the first Sunday of the June in a Hawaiian style potluck with ono food, kanikapila Hawaiian music and hula.
