We're very blessed to live in a free country. Happy Fourth to everyone here in the U.S. and our best wishes to fellow Taropatchers around the world. Jesse Tinsley |

I had to work, too, exercising my freedom to make a living and pay bills to be free of debt. It just made playing slack key sweeter that evening. |

I played bass for Slack key Willie's ukulele group on a 40 ft. flatbed truck last night. Yes, it was the annual Fourth of July parade through Kailua Kona. Got off to a great start. Lots of smiling faces and flags waving. At about the half way mark, the rain started coming down. There was little we could do... we turned off all the electrical power, covered our instruments as best we could, and got good and wet. But it was Hawaiian rain. We all laughed and figured we were lucky to live here in paradise. We sang "You're a Grand Old Flag", a cappella, and the crowd (standing under awnings, and in doorways) loved it.
