Thank you, Raymond, for keeping this Hawaiian Music Open Mic opportunity available in San Jose. And much thanks to Judy and Gene for opening their restaurant each month to those of us who love Hawaiian music. (Gene makes a terrific Cafe Latte!) Mahalo to Sun Jose Hawaii for your support.
On August 3rd, there were four sign-ups for open mic so everyone had plenty of time to play and really good odds for the drawings. The most stunning performance was a surprise visit from, guess who? Mickey Mouse playing Slack Key! You had to be there!!
Next Open Mic is Wednesday, September 7th.
Happy Trails,

WELL!! I thought I'd never see RJS in ears!!! We're so sorry we missed that night but we were in Mendocino at Lark Camp, playing Hawaiian music with Mark Nelson. And missing Michael and Mary Beth, whom I had met at Espresso Garden some motnhs ago. Let's hope we are here this next month. Maybe we'll even play something. Aloha nui, Julie |
