Aloha gang,I live and work as Associate Pastor at Grace Baptist church in Lahaina-prior to that I was at the Sea House resturant in Napili for 14 years. I used to enjoy the Sons of Maui, Hapa, and the Kevin Brown family there, and was totally amazed the first time I heard Kevin's son play at about age 15.I told him he'd do well, I had no idea he already was..LOL! I was especially blessed to hear of the Brown family's faith. I also know Uncle George Kaahumoku a bit from Church, reciently I've gone to a couple of the concerts at the Ritz-great time, great music! I've been playing guitar and banjo since I was very young , and blues /slide style guitar and bluegrass banjo are so much like slack key, and helped me add that to my bag. I love slack key, as does my wife, I've played that style while singing hymns in churches from Waianae to New York-thanks Uncle George for your two outstanding Hymns in Hawaiian CD's.I'm a music forum junkie,it's nice to find one so close to home, and so close to the heart. God bless, and a hui hou, Pastor Harry Timmins-lahaina

Welcome Pastor Harry!

We have eaten at the Sea House Restaurant usually at least once during each of George K's annual Maui Workshops during the last 7 years. (easy, since the Workshop is at the Mauian next door!) But, I guess you were gone from there already seven years ago!

Aloha Ke Akua.
When you can pass on some nice Praise songs in Kiholau, let me know. I play tight-key guitar in Church on Sundays. Pastor's wife no like ukuleles. Wait till I bring in my KoAloha DVI, she gonna . . . oh, well. Ozzie Kotani sent me his tablature for Silent Night once and they loved it at our Chritmas Eve service.
