aloha kakou,
i just heard on alt.music.hawaiian that eddie bush passed away yesterday. we've lost one of the great masters of the ukulele.

Eddie Bush..... He came here to Santa Cruz earlier this year, and was kind enough to give a very intimate little workshop at Peter Thomas' home. Then a wonderful private concert. I thouroughly enjoyed the whole evening, and have fond memories of trying to dance Hula to Hanalei Moon, while singing at the same time, because Eddie didn't sing. But boy, did he play! Of course everyone knows you cannot dance and sing at the same time, because your hands are supposed to tell the story. So I cut it short, much to Eddie's surprise. Well, my memories of him are tops, sad to see him go to the next world. Red sails in the sunset, Eddie... Aloha, Julie

Thanks for the link Andy. I'd never heard of Eddie Bush, but his mp3's are impressive and he looked like a kind man in his photos.
