I have seen (MY) Yellow Ginger Lei attributed to a number of different songwriters. I have seen John Kaonohokala, John Keawehawai`i, Johnny K. Almeida and others. I have even seen it credited to John Keawe (on the tab to Keola Beamer's teaching video).
Who wrote the song? Is there more than one song by this title?
The "Yellow Ginger Lei" in that discussion is not the one that Keola teaches on his video. The Brozman/Kaapana album "Kika Kila Meet Ki Ho Alu" credits "Yellow Ginger Lei" to former Royal Hawaiian Band leader Mekia Kealakai.
