Aloha everyone,
I want to let you know about a new film release, `The Jumping Flea, tales of the modern ukulele' This is the first ever documentary about the history, music, players, and builders
of the uke. Some of the featured performers and builders are; Sam Kamaka Jr.,Lyle Ritz,
Bill Tapia, Jim Beloff, John Kitakis, Tony Graziano, Duane Heilman, James Hill, Ralph Shaw,
Bryan Tolentino, Michelle Kiba, Janet Klein, and many more! This is a very entertaining look
at the journey of the little 4 stringed uke over 120 years, since its introduction by Portuguese immigrants to Hawaii in 1879.
The premier showing will be October 29th, at the Mann's Pierside Theater in Huntington
Beach, sponsored by The International Surfing Museum of Huntington Beach. Show times
are 7:30 & 9:00pm, with a pre-show reception. There will also be a show November 5th, at the Raven Theater in Healdsburg, in Northern California. Contact me by Email for more info.

This has been a fantastic project, over the last 3 years, with lots of help from everyone,
thank you all so much! Other theater shows to be announced, and this will be out on
DVD soon.
Aloha, and Mahalo!

Congrats, Paul, on completing your film --- I look forward to seeing it someday, and I know the folks in the Seattle `Ukulele Players Association will be interested as well.

Mahalo Retro for your help too. This has been a lot of work, and lots of fun! I'm juggling all the final tweeking, the promotion, press, theater bookings, and am hoping to have a show in Seattle in the near future. I'll post it here. -Paul
