Thanks to Dominator for pointing out an interview & performance by Jake on VOA. Here are his, Dominator's, words,

quote:
I know many of you are probably tired of all the Jake posts over the last few weeks. But I consider it my duty (LoL) to let you all know that Jake performed a radio cast this morning in Washington. It is a great opportunity, for those that still have never seen Jake and have only listened to his CDs, to hear his live performance. The commentary is not bad also. Here is what he played.
Mrs. Robinson
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Blue Roses Falling
Ave Maria
Touch

He plays another arrangement at closing but I have no idea what it is.

Here is the link. Just click on the link that says “listen to our latest show”.

The link is working this morning for me, but I don't know how long it will last.

[Ha, the DJ just read an email that came to him from ORANGE!]

Aloha,

Pauline

From the Voice of America, Border Crossings web site (previously listed you can download the [Last Weeks Shows] Monday [file: nnow1505aMON.mp3] to play in your mp3 player or iPOD.

It is 54 minutes of Jake with DJ Larry London.

You can find out what name Jake has given to his ukulele.

I think I'll name my instruments.

Pauline & Dominator & Mika ele,

ALOOOHA! How are you doing? Thank you for the info.
Pauline, wow! you recognized my name! Thank you! Happy!
Yes! I sent an email to JAKE on VOA! I wrote my name like this ORANGE (Kyoko Suzuki from Tokyo, JAPAN)...
But the DJ Larry said only my real name. So, I think JAKE doesn't know that KYOKO is ORANGE....
Anyway, that was fun show! I am enjoying and exciting to listen the show everyday. Thank you Larry London!

Well, Jake played "ORANGE WORLD" as the last song!

You can read many Q&A...

Does your ukulele have a nickname?
Yeah. Her name is "Buffy" -- from that show "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."

Orange,
I have a question on how to purchase a good ukulele hard case (available in Japan). Can you email me?
