Anyone ever heard of a Kapalai Uke made by Takemori of Kaneohe? All I have been able to find out so far is that it was made between 1950 and 1970 and the maker is no longer around.
I found one in a pawn shop and was wondering if it was a good buy.
Please help!

It is a good buy if it meets your price and it sounds good to you -- you will play it often.
You might ask someone from the Ukulele Guild of Hawaii. |

Aloha Al-K, I went to Google and found this.Made by Takemori & Son, Kaneohe, Hawaii. Mr. Takemori made Ukuleles in the mid 50's to the mid 70's. When Mr. Takemori passed on, the establishment ceased operation. It does'nt help much I guess.

To my mind, it doesn't matter much if you can't find out who made it, as long as it sounds good to you, you fall in love with it, take it home and enjoy it.
Kind of like the lost dog I brought home and took care of, not knowing where he came from, at one point he became family and that was that!
I assume if it was in a pawn shop it will be a good buy.
