Thanks for the link to this article. I was a student of wildlife biology in college many years ago, and participated in similar re-population efforts of wild turkeys where they had once been decimated. Ornithology was the main focal area for my studies. I also tracked certain species of flycatchers over several years, as they migrated from the midwest to South America and back.
It is very encouraging to see these little beauties get a second chance.
