It was mentioned that a video of our music making might be nice for everyone to have access to.
For anyone the makes a digital video I'll put it on a web site for all to enjoy. I don't want to have contributors have to deal with all the technical rules so just send what you have and we will do the conversions where ever we can for you.
If there is enough interest I'll put up Slack Key lessons and concerts as well HOWEVER that will be a very cheap pay per view. What do you think.
This is something I have been investigating for the past few months and have determined the technical feasiability is there. Personally I think it would be great to click on a lesson or view a concert by the greats that I could not attend. Enough interest and it will happen but I'm not going to do this just for a couple guys. So, Please lets have some feedback.

There are a couple experimental clips at www.ianui.com on the Calendar of Events page.
I can't emphasize enough that these are experimental only. I will remove the link tomorrow.
What do you think? |

I just clicked on the link posted and it worked fine for me. Is it the website or the clips you can't open? |

The clips worked fine - what fun to see people play (and dance, too). I have some video somewhere - If I can find it, I'll send it along. I suppose I would attach it to an email directly to you? Thanks for working on this. Some informal lessons would be fun to watch. LRR |

Jesse nd I have been exchanging some video via email (well, at least until he got embroiled in the CD) and we both thought they were great. Fun, infomrative, good way to help cement these long distance cyber friendships we have all begun. They are a great way to share licks, techniques, styles, check out eachother's guitars and bald spots, use of tongue, cheek or jowl english(in nmy casem, all three at once!) I do hope enough folks decide to send their clips in. |

Don - what format does the video need to be in? I burned my first attempts to a DVD with some moviemaking software and then lost the intermediates. Also, I'd like to do some more shoots, since the first attempts were dark and grainy. I have some lights now. What format should I shoot for? What format does the internet use, if I decide to post something on my own website? I'm using a JVC digital camcorder for this project. Thanks for your help. LRR |
