Merry Christmas from the North pole. I have been keeping a close eye on the reindeer lately, and, notwithstanding the internecine fighting about who goe where in the team, they all seem to be healthy enough for travel. Santa, my neighbor, doen't play guitar, but I let him look over this site as part of his "who's naughty and nice" surveillence network. So, sorry i didn;'t tell you folks before, but, you've been watched!!! Rik, baby, you're in trouble now!!!! Santa's normally a pretty forgiving guy, but yo may have over-stepped the line. Enjoy the coal. Actually, he told me the other day he had bad news and good news; the bad news is he had run out of coal and would have to resort to using moose nuggets. The good news was, he had an ample supply of moose nuggets to last the winter, even including Rik! |

Mele Kalikimake from the Big Island of Hawaii. It is nice and "wintery" here too... meaning all the poinsettia are blooming, and people have tiny electric lights wrapped around their coconut palms. The days have been cloudless bright blue lately, and it has been a bit chilly up here on the mountainside. I am wearing a stocking cap, and socks (shocking!). Shirley and I are planning a trip to the south end of the island on Christmas Day. There is a certain ukulele maker who is turning 60, and a surprise celebration is in order. (Those of you from Keola's camp know who I am talking about.) I also want to thank all the great TaroPatch folks that have been so kind to Shirley and I. We really enjoyed meeting some of at EG in San Jose last October, and at George's camp in June. May you all have a wonderful new year full of song and good fun. If you find yourself heading to Kona this winter, make sure you look me up for some Kanikapila! Aloha, -Konabob |

So regardless of all the "politically correct" talk about the "holiday", however you celebrate, and Whomever you celebrate, make it a special time in your lives.
The seasons come and go so quickly, the people you love come and go, the animals you care about do the same. But as you acknowledge the existence of each and everyone dear to you, do it with your heart. My heart and my thoughts go to each of you that I've come to know and love over the years.
Mr. Admin, you and your lovely wife, thanks from the bottom of my heart for your generosity, your aloha, and this site: your priceless gift to us.
Lawrence, Pulelehua, Cathe, Ilio Nui, Reid and Sarah, Popoki and Kawika, Fran, Doug, Dusty, Mr. Piffle sir, Kevin, Herb, KonaBob, so many of you out there: some of you I'll see in February at Keola's Camp, some of you I'll see in June at George's camp. All of you I see in my mind's eye when I read your posts and laugh at the antics and revel in the camaraderie. What a group! I am truly blessed by your presence. May all your wishes come true, my dear friends!
Mele Kalikimaka, and a healthy and adventurous 2006, Julie

My best wishes and greetings to all of you, the "regular posters" and just those who read alike. And my wish for the coming year for you is that at some point the music your play will "take you to some special place." |

This has been a wonderful year filled with Aloha! So many new cyber friends, about to become actual faces and voices and kanikapila partners! And the CD Compilation - What a wonderful Christmas gift from Jesse and all who contributed! I am looking very much forward to meeting many of you in the LA area around Jan 8th!
