We play bluegrass and were wondering if the 3 string model can be tunned to open GCD instead of GBD. As we are acustom to playing in GCD, ADE, DGA, CFG. And would not like to change our whole playing style or spend the $ for the 4 string model either.
The Kona Walkingstick 3 string is designed to be an open G instrument. You could probably get the GCD tuning, but ADE would leave the low string a bit too slack and the high string really stretched. Aloha, -Konabob
