Just a note to invite anyone on Oahu interested in learning slack key bass: I will be at the Ukulele Guild of Hawaii's Expo at the Sheraton for the next three days, and would be happy to do some hands on lessons.
I hope to meet a bunch of great ukulele players while I am there too! I am also bringing my steel guitar, and will be teaching a basic "how to get started" type class for anyone interested.
Met you last year at the Ukulele Guide Expo and got to hear your invention first hand. Been saving my pennies and am planning a trip to Kona sometime this month. Understand you have 11 of the 4 strings in stock and was wondering if I could come by and check them out? Let me know if this works for you and what kind of schedule you have towards the end of the month.
Hey Brett, I will be here in Kona all month. I am down to 9 of the four strings. I just sent out 3 string basses to England, Virginia, and some of each kind to Japan. I have been a busy guy this month. Shirley and I are going to take the bass to the New York Uke Festival in April.
If you like, you can email me, and I will send you my phone numbers and we can get together. Aloha, -Konabob
