Was walking through the local Target Department store the other day and happened to pass a CD display. A Hawaiian CD caught my eye, and on impulse I bought it. The title is "Aloha! Hawiian Luau" and is part of the Lifescapes World Celebration series.

I really like it! The songs are really good as well as the vocals and playing. Features Charles Ki'aha (vocals, uke and guitar) and Llima Lei Russell (vocals) along with backup players. I would highly recommend it.

Song List:

No Ka Pueo
Hilo One
Hi'ilawe
Aloha Ma'ema'e
Hene Hene Kou 'Aka
Wai O Ke Aniani
Ka Makani Ka 'ili Aloha
Polynesian Percussion Interlude
Kilakila Na Roughriders
E Ku'u Lei
Akona Hema 'O Ka Lani
Wailana
Moloka'i Nui A Hina

Charles and Ilima are frequent musicians in the So. California area. If you every get the opportunity to see them in person they are wonderful musicians and very knowledgeable about what they sing.

I think I saw that CD. The one I saw was produced by Kapono Beamer.

This one was produced by Ed Smith, 2005 Compass Productions. It gives a website of www.lifescapesmusic.com.

Also Charles and Llima have a website at www.meleomoana.com.
