I just got Garageband 3. I record a guitar on track 1 in strict tempo. Then, I record a guitar on track 2 in the same strick tempo. When I listen during playback, track 2 lags behind track 1. Does anyone know what causes this? I am using the Mackie Onyx firewire system, monitoring through the Onyx headphone jack, and recording on an iMac. Help!

Hi Darin, Karl,
I haven't had any latency problems with up to 10 tracks on my G4 powerbook. Darin's problem could be disk access time or lack of RAM, but I've never experienced it. I always use the headphone jack on the computer to monitor, though.
If it lags the same through the entire song, you can highlight the second track and drag it forward a fraction of a second (make sure you turn off "snap to grid" command) and see if that fixes the problem.
