Anyone played the new KoAloha Pineapple Sunday? I am curious what it sounds like. It sure looks interesting, especially the sound board cross-hatching. quote: This model is the first in a series of seven signature models from Papa KoAloha's Masterpiece Collection.
I wonder what the nest six will be.

The Pineapple Sunday is the first of my father's line of signature models. The others are... top secret.
The baritone is one of my upcoming projects and we'll hopefully have one coming out this year. |

My dad was strumming this uke at the Ukulele House in Ala Moana.
This uke is LOUD. It projects really well and has a really nice sound. We both were very impressed with it. I strummed a few chords on it as well, and the playability was very nice, and the intonation was great. Definitely a work of art. |

I've played the Prototype & itz the loudest uke I've ever heard, w/o sacrificing tone & clarity. Koaloha wuz my 1st serious uke & they have my loyalty. Their instruments R top notched & the staff is wonderful.

So Paul, Will the "top secret" ukuleles be something "out-of-the-ordinary" like the pineapple? How many of them are you making? Are these mostly one-of-a-kind collectors pieces?
When are you guys going to get your web site blog going?
Hope you had a good time in LA for the NAMM. I was ready to char some meat on the back yard BBQ for you giys. |

Man, I wanted to go to kanikapizza, but we got to the hotel around 11-ish. We ended up walking next door to Denny's and went right to sleep.
The other six models will all be unique, like the PS. I've only seen two other prototypes. They're super top secret, even for Papa's son. I do know that they will all be built around sound, like the PS, though. |

That pineapple uke is pretty interesting looking. My trusty low-G concert KoAloha almost never leaves my side (if it can't be in my hands!). It's my favorite uke (of the 6 I own---actually 3 of 'em are KoAloha's)... |

No Mika'ele,
I don't plan to get one, as I'm not that much of a guitar player. My next acquisition is a baritone uke, so I can sing some songs that I do in different keys and can't get that right voicing (on regular tuning).
Now if KoAloha starts making a 6 or 8 string concert or tenor uke, maybe....! |

This ukulele is without question one of the best instruments I have ever played. The sound is amazing. |
