Jake does play a custom Tenor (high G) Kamaka (you can see the two Ks on the headstock). I think Dominator had the tab for this on his web site before Jake requested he remove it.

Dominic's tabs are for the adventurous. This one in particular will take a while to learn. Anything worthwhile is "worth-the-while". He doess a really nice job of trying to get it right. I bet with the tab and the video you could get real close.

Well, Dominic got back to me (email) and said he could not release the tab...but it was downloaded quite a bit and that I should be able to find a copy...so I am looking. If anybody in here has it, and would be willing to release it, please let me know...just email me.

Can anybody still see the video? I heard it may not be working. Does anybody know how to stream rip it?

Don't NEED a tenor uke. Most tenors are still tuned GCEA -- just the "G" string may be a "g" or a "G". Reentrant tuning (my dog has fleas) has a higher G (just two intervals below the high A string). Low-g tuning is just like playing the highest four strings of your guitar (tight-key standard tuning) with a capo at the fifth fret. I prefer the low-g because it is easier to go from kika to ukulele and back to kika.

I just looked at the tab for this song again and believe Dominic tabbed it with the reentrant tuning. Playing this at the capo'd fifth fret of your guitar would work EXCEPT -- if a melody note is played on the g-string. It will still sound OK as the note will just be an octave lower than expected.

I was able to play the video just now, Mike, by going to Google's video search and typing in "ukulele"; Jake's "My Guitar" was on the first resulting search page.

BTW, you can hear--and see--a lot of interesting ukulele videos with that search. To see more, use "alternate" spellings of ukulele since they're searched based on how folks post 'em and many don't know how to spell it quite right...

Cool! So i can just use one of my standard guitars capod at the 5th fret and using standard tuning! I'll check that out tonight. Mike, thanks for all of your help.
