I just want to share a tidbit my friend Dan recently researched. For those who have seen Keola Beamer perform, you may have noticed lights (ie. a tuner) inside his guitar. Dan was curious what kind of tuner Keola used and got an answer from Steve Grimes.
Interesting product. Anyone else like me? I've got the ear to hear when my guitar is out of tune but cannot necessarily get it in tune. That's life, I guess.
Yeah, these little dudes are the bomb, I'm tellin' ya. I just put one in my McCollum, and I intend to get a couple more for other guitars. I spliced mine into the power circuit for the B-Band pickup, so I don't have two batteries in the guitar. The big advantage over outside stick-on tuners is the visibility in bright sunlight.
They're a little hard to get, at least right now. Most places that sell them seem to be on back order.
