Man, 32, used ukulele to beat wife, police say
Star-Bulletin Staff
citydesk @ starbulletin.com

Police arrested a 32-year-old man who allegedly attacked his wife with a kitchen pot and an ukulele just after midnight today.

Police said the man fled the couple’s Honolulu residence after the victim threatened to call police.

The man returned home at about 2 a.m. and was arrested for investigation of second-degree assault and four outstanding warrants.

Oooh, I can't wait for all the feedback..

What kind of `ukulele did he use?

What kind of strings?

Is solid koa more threatening than laminated?

What's the best pickup for that "killer tone?"

Is he a tenor or soprano?

Maybe they worked in concert.

He won't be a baritone for long.

Obviously the guy is a slacker... If he had a real job.. er, gig... he would not have been home at "just after midnight".

There's no sense beating around the Bush(man) here.

Not much to fret about anymore, but this guy was clearly high strung.

Certainly he will be playing a different tune in the slammer.

They probably won't even let him uke out the window!

Did he hit her with the upper or lower bout?
Maybe the hit had him kerfing at the bridge.
She must have been seeing dots.
I bet she had him pegged.
The jail time will have him all strung up with no song to sing.

She's an "Ukulele Lady".
He'll be "Somewhere, Over the Rainbow".

aw . . this is too easy . .

Her father probably knew his daughter was in trouble when she first
started hanging out with that guy.

When that idiot swung the uke over her head, if he had just held off,
he might have realized he held "a bridge over troubled daughter".

If we keep this up, I am sure we can get someone to Puke.

There's nothing funny about a wife getting beaten by her husband.

Of course not, but it IS funny to try to use an uke as a weapon.
