Hello all! I'm new to this board, but I've been playing ukulele for a good two years now (not that I'm pro..ha!) and I've been trying to find some instruction on strumming techniques. If anyone has any info for me, it would be great. thanks,
Adam

The Jake Shimabukuro DVD has some nice info on strumming and picking.

I found it, I finally found it! Back when Adam posted this request a few days ago, I knew I had a Hawaiian strumming PDF and now I've found it. The same gentleman who has the midi files of the He Mele Aloha has put the Hawaiian strumming PDF together. You can find it at this website: http://mele.home.att.net/

It's frames so I can't give a link straight to the PDF; look under the center area, left column for "Tuning Up/Strumming Patterns." Clicking on that link not only gets you the link to the PDF but also midi files for each strumming pattern listed on the PDF.

Although I am not practicing all the different strums for different types of music as I am focusing on Hawaian mele, Raplh Shaw's DVD "Essential strums for the Ukulele" may be useful.

Thanks, Tonya. I've been to that site before but forgot it.
