I just got back two old instruments from repair today. One is an old regular sized "Hilo" Ukulele. It was bought by my mother sometime around 1960. It had a sticker on the back of the head stock that said, if I remeber correctly, "Don the Uke King" or something like that. It has since come off. The head stock has an emblem (sticker)of a surfer and coconut trees and reads "Hilo Hawaiian Ukulele". It is hand made and the wood looks like mahogany. I don't know anything about the history or value of Ukulele's. Any comments from the members?

Bob,

You might want to try and ask Chuck Fayne, over at fleamarketmusic.com. I think that's his name. Anyway, he's the guy to ask about vintage ukulele.
