Hi all, sorry for a Hi'ilawe topic again, but the question is somewhat different from those in the other topics, so I decided to give this one its own thread.
This one is about the actuar 78rpm dics itself. I have searced the internet, including www.gemm.com, but I am unable to find information on this record.
I'd like to know on what label it was issued, and what hte serial no was.
furthermore, the most important question is how rare is it (my guess is very), and can it be found?
any input is welcome
best! Roel

According to the notes to the History of Slack Key Guitar reissue CD, the 1947 "Hi`ilawe" is Aloha #AR 810. The 1946 Bell recording is #505A. I suspect that both are rare, with the Aloha release in the "extremely rare" category--I've never seen either offered for sale. (For comparison, I've seen several late 50s/early 60s 45s by Sonny, Leonard, and even Gabby come up on e-Bay in the last few months, and there are almost always a few 49th State 78s available.)
