Once again, the Southern California Slack Key Society will host their weekly Slack Key Open Mike Night from 1830-2100 at Kaisen's Hawaiian Sytle Grille in Oceanside, CA (North San Diego County). Let me know if you are in the area and are interested in playing for us -- I'll give out the directions if you email me.

A Nahenahe Night.

Still Tuesday nights. Good News: The restaurant has their "A" rating back again. They had a glitch with their refrigeration system in the current heat wave -- and that was the day the health inspector came by for a look-see. they were downgraded to a B on Tuesday afternoon, they closed (no Open Mike for us) to have an expert fix the refrigeration system, the inspector came back on Wednesday afternoon to see that it was fixed and they went back up to an "A". This is GOOD for a sushi place.

We are getting some of the local talent from the weeky ukulele kanikapizza to come by and hear "the other side". At least they know the songs when we try play. Bill, Keith, Dusty, and Terry are getting REAL GOOD. I'm being left in the dust. At least Keith and Terry have the "koa" to sing. Although Chunky Monkey says "nobody cares".

Bring Uncle Chuck down with you one week.

Uncle Chuck is busier now with his grant money. I'll see if he'd like to make the trek south. That would certainly help using the carpool lane. Also, an ukulele friend and I are working on a song together so if I can tear him away from the beach, we'll have something for you.

Once again, the Southern California Slack Key Society will host their weekly Slack Key Open Mike Night this Tuesday from 1830-2100 at Kaisen's Sushi and Hawaiian Sytle Grille in Oceanside, CA (North San Diego County). The grille is just east of I-5 on Oceanside Boulevard, on the left past the second light. Let me know if you are in the area and are interested in playing -- I'll give out more specific directions if you email me.

Looks like Keith, Mike, Terry, and Bill for sure with a few more maybe's.

Last week, we had a few from the local ukulele group stop by and enjoy the music.
