Wow!!!!!
I'm not sure where to start. Probably the best is to say that they are trying to put a tour together and it's a Must See performance. Thank you Rik for making sure we got tickets. Brittni is the only one I've seen and met and though I'm sorry she didn't bring John along this time, I must say she's getting great experience and becoming a real pro. I'd heard of Cindy Combs - wow, now I'm a real fan. Her playing, like the others is exquisite and her singing is special. Lehua Ka'apana Nash lives right near here! I couldn't believe I've missed her regular performances at The Loft on Hawthorne in Torrance! That is being suspended for a month or two -
Owana - what a wonderful dream she had to bring the women of slack key together. They each gave a stunning solo performance and then they played a fantastic show together. Brittni played her ukulele spectacularly for her solo performance, a bit while they played together, and then she joined in with all the slack as well on her guitar. OK Rik - or Konacat, or Paul and Sandy Konwiser - jump in any time and give more specifics.
I'm sure Auntie Maria will be posting when they get their tour together so be sure to come out!
mahalo nui to the ladies, David at Whittier, Aloha Joe etc for putting this together for us.
