well, I hate to be like this, but, if you weren't there ...
you missed it. Steven and his band played numbers from "Ho`omaka" along with other Hawaiian classics. They rocked. The guy's got it. His mom danced. His sisters danced. His wife danced. His mom and sisters danced together. We ate kalua pig and rice and mac salad and teri chicken and poi and lomi salmon.
The Honolulu Grill in Bethel Island (the "other" island, they say) is a charmer, with a stage out back, high board fences, and such an island feel inside.
The Grill is having every Sunday kanikapila/open mic (I'll be able to give more info after I've made it out there starting around 3:00 (or was it 5:00) and going till whenever.
We even had something that felt a little like trades blowing.

| I'm sooo envious, especially since the CD I ordered (from Tower Records, why them? can't remember) never arrived. Tower cancelled the order. I need to re-order. |
