A while back someone posted links to some videos that were on the Koolau website. I had received a few requests for a song that was titled bananas & rice played by Abe Lagrimas. Abe and I discussed this recently and turns out he was covering a version of Guava Jam that was recorded by Troy Fernandez and Ka`au Crater Boys.

I found a CD with Guava Jam on it and put together the first couple of sections. I posted the excerpt so you can get started on it while I finish it up.

Here is a link to the video of Abe Lagrimas. BTW, Abe nails it. I found only minor differences between the two performances. Absolutely incredible.

Also note that Dominator put up a video early this morning demonstrating some tips for playing this song as it matches up with his tablature.

There's lots of instruction and information in this free resource. Great job, Dominator--and thank you so much!

Plus, there's now a tabbed version of Bryan Tolentino's "Little Rock Getaway." Hooray!
