Aloha kakou,
Got a chance to catch David and Herb yesterday evening at the Tropics Bar in the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
The music was magic. These two have an obvious camraderie, easily passing the melody back and forth. The tunes were ukulele versions of some classic songs, including Hotel California and Santana's Europa.
Their showmanship, however was not really on display. This may be due to the venue - The Tropics Bar is right on the beach, and their role was undoubtedly to lure folks in. So, it was more like sitting out on the beach with a couple of phenomenal ukulele players.
Other than the high price of da beers it was a great time.

| I'll be checking them out on 8/30.. Barry Kimokeo is supposed to play as well, did you have the chance to see him as well? |

| Not yet, but I'll be keeping my eyes open. If we decide to go out tonight, Sean Na`auao is playing at Tiki's Bar & Grill. |

Ledward will be at the Mai Tai Bar, Royal Hawaiian Hotel, Saturday from 4:15 to 7:15. Sunday he's at the Kona Brewing Co., Koko Marina, Hawaii Kai from 6:00 to 8:00. And I'm hoping Mike Ka`awa and that whole gang are still playing at the Ko`olau Golf Course on Sunday even after the unfortunate incident with guitar theft and such.
