This is just so neat. Simply by coincidence, Sarah was noodling around last night and, out of the blue, played a fully formed instrumental version of The Love Snatching Wind, with slides and other ornaments and variations. I was stunned and asked her how she did that. The answer was: "Oh, because I could sing it". So, then she sang it with her own guitar backing and used the instrumental as a pa`ani.

Now, her version was in G, and yours, Mika'ele, is in C. So, I got her to promise to tab it out by hand (and I'll buff it up in Powertab) so she wouldn't forget what she had done and, moreover, so that I would have a shot at it. Hasn't happened yet (too soon), but I'll nag her.

So, now we also know what a `ukulele backing rhythm should be, because of the Kamaka cut (thanks to Parotatch), and I just might be able to combine them, right here, thousands of miles away.

This couldn't happen in another time or another place.

...Reid
