Slack-key guitarists John Neira and T. Dan Hofstedt will be hosting an evening of Hawaiian themed music at Gayle's Perks in North Hills. We'll be doing some original instrumental and vocal numbers as well as a few "classics." Starting at 7 PM until 10. If there are any nearby slackers who would like to play a number or two, please let me know... We can add you to the list.
Aloha, T. Dan
The coffee house is located on the corner of Balboa and Nordhoff right next door to Albertson's. From the 405 exit Nordhoff and go west to Balboa. The shopping center is on the left. There is a modest $4 minimum (coffees, teas, smoothies, baked goods, and some sandwiches and salads).

You guys really need to catch T-Dan. He's a really good player. Maybe he'll do Guitarzan for you.

Bummer, dude. I'll be camping in the High Sierra over Labor Day. But keep me posted; I can stay with a friend who lives right by Omelveny Park. |

t'anks for da endorsement, Big Dog...Need one trio for Guitarzan, but... Very low-key evening at the smokey hole-in-the-wall venue...Played some originals, some classics...Played John Keawe's "Hana Pipi" in B-flat. Went over well...Holiday weekend, etc. kept the crowd down I guess, but it's always fun to just play... But the few people that came heard some music from the heart... And that's what it's all about... |
