Hello. I found your site last year but just joined. I have been playing guitar 20 years and currently live in Virginia. I first caught the bug for slack key when I was stationed at Hickam AFB on Oahu in the late 90's. I used to play electric blues but now focuse exclusively on fingerstyle playing. Glad to find such a supportive group.

Aloha e skinny1 from another reformed electric blues player. Can't even remember licks to Crosscut Saw. Pretty sure it was in some kind of bizarre tuning (EADGBE). Advice - don't sell your strat (I did). You'll someday regret it (I do). There's always a blues song to be played (even finger style in Taro Patch F).

I am currently trying to find a dedicated guitar for slack key. Looks like it will be a Larrivee. They sound great.

Or if you really wrack up your hand, you may have to rely on playing electric to take the stress off your injury..... check with Keoki....... or George.......
I do believe there is a sign or a T-shirt that says "One can never have too many guitars".

Pua Kai,

Really, I have no desire to play electric anymore. I have a family now is I am lucky if I even get time to play my acoustic. I have only had 1 acoustic for the last 6 years but I am getting by. Getting back into it now.
