I just wanted to announce some good news...

My CD Ho’omalie won the Hawaiian Album of the year in the “Just Plain Folks” music awards. You can find a rather nice description of what this is all about at:

I think it’s great that they have a Hawaiian category, and we are not lumped in to “Word Music” which can get very confusing. Now if we can just get them to start a Slack Key category! Mahalo to anyone out there who voted. This is a great organization for those of us who try our best to record quality music, without the benefits of being part of the big label corporate machine.
