The young lady from the other side of my island has released yet another CD. It is just amazing to hear how far she has pushed herself and her ukulele since her last CD appeared.

Joining her on this CD are Melveen Leed (One of Hawaii's diva vocalists) and Nathan Aweau (of Hapa), along with five other talented musicians.

Those of you who have heard her perform know that I am not exaggerating when I refer to her as an ukulele genius.
This CD covers the spectrum from her own beautiful ukulele solo, "Journey Home", to jazz (Begin the Beguine - Cole Porter), to a version of Samba Fa Ti that Carlos Santana would be proud of. Even a version of Canon in D that features Ryan Tsukamoto on violin. It starts out traditionally, but quickly gains altitude as these two virtuosos pour it on.

More about her CD on her web site: http://www.brittnipaiva.com/

Aloha,
Konabob

By far, this is her best album - strong material (her own compositions really shine), excellent musicianship throughout. She's really shown a lot of confidence (both in performance and on recordings) in such a short period of time. =Gregg=

COOL! AWESOME!
Can't wait to see her next week and hear her play at our local weekly "kanikapizza" in Encinitas, CA. The "show/workshop" is sold out.
Gonna get my own autographed copy of her new CD!
Also have her autograph my KoAloha Ukulele case!
